Maintenance Technician (Mechanical / Manufacturing)

About the role

We are seeking a mechanically‑minded Maintenance Technician to join a well‑established manufacturer of rubber sealing and moulding solutions. The role offers a varied, hands‑on experience with extensive training, progression opportunities and a supportive environment as the company moves to a new purpose‑built facility in Totton.

Key responsibilities

• Cover machine‑shop activities during holiday periods.
• Support the Product Development Manager with new product introductions and development projects.
• Perform high‑level inspections on precision components and assist with tool testing.
• Identify and implement process improvements and troubleshooting solutions.
• Provide routine maintenance and mechanical assistance across the manufacturing floor.

Required profile

• Qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• Background in machining or a similar hands‑on manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a product development team.
• Willingness to support both maintenance and product development activities.
