Management Accountant – 14‑Month Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

This 14‑month fixed‑term position offers the chance to join a respected property investment and development organisation in London. You will work within a close‑knit finance team, delivering accurate management accounts and supporting quarterly consolidations while adhering to international accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Produce quarterly management accounts for smaller entities and third‑party accounts, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
• Support the Finance Manager during quarterly consolidation by preparing comprehensive support schedules.
• Assist in drafting statutory accounts and collaborate with the Finance Controller to meet regulatory deadlines.
• Liaise with external auditors to finalise statutory accounts and respond to queries promptly.
• Review draft financial statements of third‑party entities for consistency and identify significant changes.
• Oversee VAT and CIS reporting, performing reconciliations and ensuring on‑time submissions.
• Prepare ONS survey forms and related schedules, maintaining data integrity.
• Train junior team members, share expertise, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support implementation and enhancement of new systems and process improvements.
• Assist with daily accounting operations such as payment runs, journal entry reviews, and bank payment processing during staff absences.

Required profile

• Demonstrable experience producing management accounts within a finance function.
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards, VAT, CIS and statutory reporting requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively with auditors and senior finance leaders.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to train and develop junior colleagues.
