Management Accountant – Beauty & Cosmetics FMCG

About the role

This is a hands‑on Management Accountant position within a leading beauty, skincare and cosmetics FMCG business. You will work closely with the Finance Director, gaining exposure to management accounts, month‑end close, P&L analysis and inventory accounting. The role offers a blend of commercial insight and technical finance work across retail, online and international channels.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support the monthly financial close, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and analyse profit & loss variances.
• Prepare journals, accruals, pre‑payments and other month‑end accounting entries.
• Carry out balance‑sheet reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Support the monitoring and accounting of stock/inventory.
• Assist with audit requirements and provide relevant documentation.
• Use the company’s ERP/accounting systems to maintain accurate financial information.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified as a Management Accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA).
• Experience preparing, reviewing or analysing P&L accounts.
• Familiarity with stock/inventory accounting (ideally).
• Experience of SAP or similar ERP systems (ideally).
• Background in FMCG, beauty, cosmetics, retail or e‑commerce is desirable.

What we offer

• Salary £45,000‑£55,000 per year plus a 10% performance bonus.
• Hybrid working model – 3 days in the office, 2 days remote.
