Management Accountant & Cost Controller – Commercial Sales

About the role

We are seeking a Management Accountant/Cost Controller to drive commercial performance in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. The role will act as a bridge between site operations and central commercial teams, ensuring accurate financial control, pricing integrity, and project profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Produce regular reports on claims status, sales administration performance, RFQ pipeline and commercial activities.
• Maintain pricing data in ERP systems, track customer pricing, rebates and compensation mechanisms.
• Support forecasting and budgeting processes, monitor performance against plan and highlight variances.
• Develop new business cases, align cost assumptions with operational performance and translate them into detailed customer cost breakdowns.
• Lead commercial claims identification, escalation and resolution.
• Monitor project profitability, identify deviations and drive corrective actions.
• Collaborate with finance, controlling, commercial, purchasing and supply‑chain teams to ensure alignment on pricing and cost changes.

Required profile

• Strong commercial and financial acumen with advanced numerical and analytical abilities.
• Proven experience in forecasting, reporting and business planning.
• Ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders and communicate clearly.
• Highly organised with capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Degree‑level education or equivalent experience; professional qualification (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) desirable.
• Experience in manufacturing or automotive environments is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
