Management Accountant – Finance Manager (Day Rate)

About the role
We are seeking a Management Accountant to act as a Finance Manager for a well‑established manufacturing business in the South East. The role offers a competitive day rate of approximately £300 and involves overseeing the financial reporting function for a dedicated division.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare monthly financial management reports and supervise the end‑to‑end reporting workflow for the division.
- Coordinate consolidated reporting in partnership with the central finance office.
- Assemble and draft statutory financial statements.
- Analyse cost discrepancies and variances.
- Conduct detailed monthly balance‑sheet reviews.
- Assess and verify tax filings, including corporation tax, VAT and withholding taxes.
- Support additional duties assigned by senior management and meet strict deadlines.
Required profile
- Proven experience in a managerial finance role within the manufacturing sector.
- Strong understanding of stock and inventory accounting.
- Ability to work autonomously while meeting management deadlines.
