Management Accountant - Gadbrook Manufacturing

About the role

A Management Accountant is needed to join the Manufacturing Finance team supporting the Gadbrook Produce site in Cheshire. This is a site-based, Monday to Friday, 37.5-hour-per-week permanent role within the site leadership team. The site packs between 800k and 900k packs a week with annual sales of over £50m, and is investing in the slice and dice market.

Key responsibilities

• Drive business performance through daily and weekly insights, focusing on key KPIs and metrics
• Support operations to drive efficiencies and cost savings across the factory
• Provide commercial insight to site operations teams
• Deliver accurate product costings for new business
• Work with the centralised reporting team on weekly and monthly site accounts
• Implement cost control measures and identify cost optimisation opportunities
• Work with sourcing teams to drive margin growth
• Monitor and report on inventory levels and values
• Support the production of budgets and forecasts

Required profile

• Proven experience as an accountant within manufacturing is desirable
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Relevant finance qualification (CIMA/ACCA)
