Management Accountant – Hybrid (Plymouth)

About the role

Our client, a growing and forward‑thinking organisation in Plymouth, is looking for a Management Accountant to join the finance team on a full‑time permanent basis. The role involves delivering accurate financial reporting, overseeing key transactional processes and supporting month‑end activities while working closely with senior management. The position offers a hybrid working model with two days per week in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and supplier payment processes
• Oversee customer invoicing and credit control activities
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain cash records
• Assist with month‑end journals, accruals and pre‑payments
• Support the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and financial analysis
• Produce financial reports and performance information
• Contribute to process improvements and financial controls

Required profile

• AAT Level 4 qualified or studying towards a professional qualification
• Previous experience in a finance or accounting environment
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
• Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or similar
