Management Accountant – Perth & Kinross

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Management Accountant to join a growing practice serving owner‑managed businesses, SMBs and not‑for‑profits across Scotland. The role is based in the Perth & Kinross area and offers the chance to work with a diverse client portfolio while developing your leadership skills.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare full and abbreviated statutory accounts in accordance with FRS 105 and FRS 102.
• Calculate corporation tax, complete CT600 returns and manage related filings.
• Submit VAT returns and liaise with HMRC on queries, payment plans and registrations.
• Produce monthly, quarterly and ad‑hoc management accounts, including profit & loss statements.
• Coordinate payroll services on behalf of clients and support client meetings and proposals.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to business development initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with the right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship).
• Demonstrable experience preparing FRS 105 and FRS 102 accounts.
• Background in UK practice, preferably with SMB owner‑managers in Scotland.
• Leadership experience and ability to work independently in an office‑based setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Sage accounting software.
• Proficiency with Xero accounting software.
• Knowledge of FRS 105 and FRS 102 reporting standards.
