Managing Director, Finance & Accounting Advisory

About the role

CFGI is seeking a Managing Director to lead its Finance & Accounting Advisory practice. You will work directly with C‑level executives of FTSE 100, mid‑cap and start‑up companies, providing strategic guidance on complex accounting and regulatory matters.

Key responsibilities

• Own and grow client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders and auditors.
• Lead end‑to‑end engagements, from scoping and planning to execution and delivery of high‑quality technical accounting solutions.
• Drive business development by identifying new opportunities, nurturing industry contacts and contributing to firm‑wide growth initiatives.
• Mentor and develop junior professionals, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance culture.
• Contribute to thought leadership and enhance the firm’s training programs on emerging accounting standards.

Required profile

• 14+ years of experience in accounting, finance or consulting, including time at a Big 4 firm.
• Relevant qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CPA or MBA.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence senior executives.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, high energy and a commitment to ethical, client‑focused service.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS.
• Proficiency with UK GAAP.
• Proficiency with US GAAP.
