Mandarin Speaking Junior Assistant Customer Service-Banking

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position is based in a London branch of a retail bank. The role supports business generation by delivering excellent customer service and promoting the bank’s products to Mandarin‑speaking clients.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct sales interviews, identify customer needs and recommend suitable banking products.
• Open individual and corporate accounts while completing KYC compliance requirements.
• Support the Review team by liaising with customers to obtain necessary information.
• Manage the open counter, handling telephone calls, emails, letters and banking‑hall shifts.
• Ensure all processes comply with regulatory requirements, internal controls and bank policies.
• Work occasional Sunday openings when required.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business or a related field.
• Relevant experience in customer‑service roles, preferably within retail banking or financial services.
• Knowledge of retail banking products and processes is advantageous.
• Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements is a plus.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin (native level), with strong communication skills.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to work well in a team.
