Manufacturing Engineering Placement – 12.5 months

About the role

This 12.5‑month Manufacturing Engineering Placement is based at Airbus' Filton plant in the Bristol area. You will work across the wing and sub‑assembly process, supporting current production and developing future manufacturing solutions for programmes such as the A400M and A350.

Key responsibilities

• Gain experience of the whole wing and sub‑assembly process and contribute to the design of future manufacturing solutions.
• Collaborate with Quality, Operations, Finance and other functions to initiate and support engineering activities.
• Build relationships with stakeholders across design, production and support teams, ensuring customer‑focused outcomes.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled as an undergraduate in Engineering, a technical discipline or an equivalent field for the full placement duration.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to listen, understand and convey information effectively.
• Demonstrated interest in personal development and finding creative solutions to complex problems.
