Manufacturing Production Manager – Milton Park

About the role

Berry Recruitment is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Production Manager to lead a small team at a Milton Park facility. You will bridge R&D and production, ensuring new products move smoothly from concept to full‑scale manufacture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Manufacturing function, aligning resources with safety, quality, delivery, cost and growth targets.
• Develop and execute the Manufacturing Engineering strategy and roadmap.
• Own the industrialisation process for new products, establishing tooling, fixtures, test capability and capacity.
• Act as the site technical authority for manufacturing processes, equipment and industrialisation activities.
• Identify, evaluate and implement automation, digitisation and Industry 4.0 solutions.
• Manage NPI, CAPEX, automation and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Support Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) activities.
• Drive cost‑reduction, waste elimination and productivity improvement initiatives.
• Own the TPM programme and maintenance strategy for shop‑floor equipment.
• Facilitate root‑cause investigations using 8D, DMAIC and CAPA methodologies.

Required profile

• Proven manufacturing management experience in a hands‑on production environment.
• Ability to work across departments and provide practical engineering expertise.
• Experience leading small teams and managing resources to meet operational targets.
• Strong understanding of industrialisation, tooling and capacity planning.
