Manufacturing Technician – Semiconductor Assembly

About the role

We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician to build and test complex sub‑assemblies, assemble tools to required standards, and collaborate with engineering to resolve manufacturing issues within our semiconductor production facility.

Key responsibilities

• Build and test complex sub‑assemblies and assemble tools using build and test documentation.
• Identify and report manufacturing issues, working closely with engineering teams to resolve them.
• Support the manufacturing team in maintaining and improving processes and overall product quality.
• Assist the NPI Manager and RPM Manufacturing Manager in delivering products to customers on time.
• Produce clear, well‑documented build notes and test procedures as required.
• Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs) when needed.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness across production and cleanroom areas.
• Kit assemblies in line with the BOM.
• Support the Operations team in upholding health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience as a manufacturing technician.
• Experience building and testing complex high‑technology products.
• Experience assembling optical components and using lasers.
• Proficiency in wiring/soldering to IPC standards.
• Background in engineering development and product life‑cycle release.
• Quality control or manufacturing engineering experience.
• Adaptable with a can‑do approach to unexpected challenges.
• Good hand‑to‑eye coordination and confidence with technical English.
