Marine Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Marine Engineer to join our fast‑growing marine business on the South Coast. Based primarily in Falmouth, the role involves hands‑on engineering work, technical leadership and project management across a range of marine sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, test and maintain marine propulsion, power generation and fuel systems.
• Lead technical projects on retrofits, new builds and major overhauls.
• Conduct performance assessments, system diagnostics and root‑cause failure investigations.
• Ensure compliance with maritime regulations, classification standards and company policies.
• Support service leadership in project delivery and collaborate with engineers and apprentices.
• Provide technical support to our dealer and service network.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience with propulsion, power generation and fuel systems.
• Knowledge of onboard electrical systems.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Full UK driver’s licence and right to work in the UK.
