About the role
The Marine HR Manager will lead the offshore Personnel Department, ensuring a skilled and competent workforce for Anglo‑Eastern’s global ship management operations. This senior position is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the department, meeting client manpower requirements, and empowering the team to operate efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Resource and manage the Marine HR (MHR) Department, providing recommendations to senior management on work practices.
- Integrate personnel activities with other company functions, ensuring seamless information exchange.
- Oversee overseas manning agents to meet company standards and protect against liabilities.
- Handle conflicts or complaints from seastaff or clients in liaison with the Senior MHR Manager.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date crew database for all offshore personnel.
- Monitor and disseminate changes in STCW, MLC, and relevant maritime regulations.
- Ensure staff receive training and stay current with industry developments.
- Initiate new business leads and contracts together with the Senior MHR Manager.
Required profile
- Proven experience in marine or offshore human resources management.
- Strong understanding of maritime regulations (STCW, MLC, M Notice).
- Ability to collaborate across departments and with international partners.
- Leadership skills to empower sub‑ordinates and drive departmental performance.
