Marine Insurance Consultant

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Insurance Consultant to join a well‑established specialist insurance team. You will work with a global client base, providing expert marine insurance advice to lenders and their legal advisers.

Key responsibilities

• Review owners' insurance programmes and prepare detailed reports assessing cover adequacy.
• Provide technical insurance advice to financial institutions and their legal advisers.
• Support a portfolio of high‑profile finance clients within a specialist team.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering high‑standard service.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies and mandatory training.
• Assist financial reporting processes, including monthly income forecasting where required.

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge of marine insurance.
• Previous experience providing insurance advice or consulting within the marine insurance market.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of workload with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management skills, managing multiple priorities.
• Proactive approach with focus on exceptional client service.
• Professional communication skills and ability to build relationships at all levels.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
