Market Street Manager

About the role

Reporting directly to the Store Manager, you will lead the Market Street craft teams, ensuring counters are fully stocked, food‑maker standards shine and shoppers receive top‑class service. This permanent, full‑time position is based at the Dewsbury Road store in Wakefield.

Key responsibilities

• Put customers first by inspiring your team to deliver outstanding service and keep the Market Street area vibrant and well‑stocked.
• Lead and develop your team through shift scheduling, training and talent conversations.
• Build a supportive, performance‑driven culture alongside other managers.
• Plan resources, manage department budgets and collaborate with other store operating teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading and supporting a team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong communicator who shares knowledge, helps others succeed and keeps everyone informed.
• Ability to build positive relationships across the whole store and adapt to new ways of working.
• Attentive listener who acts on customer and colleague feedback to improve each shift.
• Confident to step in as Manager in Charge, run shifts smoothly and maintain food‑safety standards.
