Marketing & Business Development Manager (Legal Sector)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Marketing & Business Development Manager to support the Partners of a boutique West End law firm during a period of rapid growth. Reporting directly to the Board, you will work closely with fee earners and support teams to raise the firm’s profile and drive new business.

Key responsibilities

• Create and implement firm‑wide marketing plans and campaigns to increase brand awareness.
• Support fee earners in building and maintaining client relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
• Lead and manage all firm events, including seminars, webinars and hospitality initiatives.
• Maintain the firm’s website, ensuring content is up‑to‑date and liaising with external web designers as needed.
• Produce client newsletters, bulletins and other marketing literature.
• Coordinate with external designers and the PR team to create and distribute promotional material.
• Upload content to the website and social media platforms and respond to enquiries generated by marketing activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in marketing and business development within the legal sector or a similar partnership environment.
• Strong academic background, preferably with a recognised marketing qualification.
• Results‑driven, proactive, enthusiastic and able to influence senior stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across the firm.

Required skills

• Experience managing website content and coordinating with external web designers.
• Familiarity with social media platforms for professional promotion.
• Ability to produce written marketing material such as newsletters and bulletins.
