Material Coordinator – CCS Project (Hartlepool)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Material Coordinator to join a high‑profile Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) project in Hartlepool. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials, supporting marine operations and ensuring compliance with hazardous‑goods and customs regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Check and manifest container contents.
• Prepare Dangerous Goods Notes (DGNs) where required.
• Ensure containers are loaded safely and secured correctly.
• Coordinate quayside vessel loading and discharge operations.
• Liaise with project teams and vessels to manage port calls and material deliveries.
• Ensure customs procedures are followed for all imports and exports.
• Maintain accurate material tracking and logistics records.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years' experience as a Material Coordinator on major engineering, offshore, marine or energy projects.
• Strong background in site material handling and logistics coordination.
• Experience with dangerous‑goods documentation and customs procedures.
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
• Experience on offshore, oil & gas, marine or major infrastructure projects is highly desirable.

• £550‑£600 per day (Outside IR35).
• 2‑3 month contract with immediate start.
• Site‑based role in Hartlepool (Teesside).
