Materials Controller – Material Management

About the role

Singer Vehicle Design is seeking an experienced Materials Controller to join its Material Management team in Woodford Halse. You will be responsible for ensuring that the right parts and components are available at the right time to support the build schedule of our high‑performance automobiles.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule and control the supply of materials and components to meet the build plan.
• Monitor stock levels against planning assumptions and agreed targets.
• Interpret the master production schedule to generate material demand and plan deliveries.
• Identify and mitigate risks that could impact the build schedule.
• Take corrective actions on material shortages affecting production.
• Implement and continuously improve material delivery processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to forecast, plan, and facilitate timely material flow.
• Prepare forecasts for suppliers and maintain strong supplier relationships.

Required profile

• Good understanding of supply chain management or specialist knowledge in a related area.
• Experience with manufacturing and automotive components is advantageous.
• Proven background in materials planning and ensuring smooth material supply aligned with production requirements.
• Ability to work within budgetary constraints and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required skills

• Experience using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems or similar tools.
