Materials & Sales Coordinator

About the role

This 12‑month fixed‑term position supports a high‑precision manufacturing business in Plymouth. You will ensure that the right materials are available for production and that customer orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate material planning, purchasing and inventory activities to meet production and customer demand.
• Process purchase orders and sales orders in SAP, keeping records and delivery schedules up to date.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers and internal teams to resolve issues and guarantee on‑time deliveries.
• Monitor stock levels, expedite or reschedule deliveries and flag potential supply risks.
• Support continuous‑improvement projects and collaborate with Sales, Operations and Production Planning to boost supply‑chain performance.

Required profile

• Experience in supply‑chain, materials planning, purchasing, inventory management, sales administration or customer service within a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of MRP and ERP systems, preferably SAP or SAP Cloud ERP.
• Strong planning, organisational and analytical abilities with a focus on detail.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a commitment to accurate data handling.
