Freelance Event Manager - Plymouth

About the role

Fever, a tech platform for culture and live entertainment, is looking for experienced freelance Event Managers in Plymouth to support a series of smaller-scale live events. The role is hands-on and event-by-event, with each event different, ranging from wine and comedy shows to jazz shows and cocktail experiences. You will manage launches and maintain standards over time, reporting to the producer.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the planning and delivery of live events from set-up through to breakdown
• Coordinate event staff, suppliers and venue teams on site
• Ensure smooth operations and a high-quality guest experience
• Support logistics, stock management and event equipment
• Assist with event build, styling and general set-up tasks where required
• Troubleshoot issues calmly and efficiently during live events
• Work closely with the wider team to bring each event to life

Required profile

• Previous experience managing events, activations or hospitality-led experiences
• Background in hospitality, bar work or venue operations highly beneficial
• Organised, proactive and confident working independently, comfortable owning your own work within a team
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Available to work evenings and weekends when required
