Maths Intervention Tutor – Full‑time (Temp‑Perm)

About the role

You will join a supportive school environment in Manchester to deliver small‑group and one‑to‑one maths intervention and mentoring outside the classroom. The position starts in September 2026 on a full‑time temporary basis with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Provide targeted maths support to individual pupils and small groups.
• Mentor students, helping them build confidence and improve attainment.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure a consistent, calm, and positive learning atmosphere.
• Support SEND and SEMH students in line with the school's inclusive ethos.

Required profile

• A‑Level maths or equivalent (higher qualification preferred).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) and two professional child‑related references.
• Up‑to‑date safeguarding training or willingness to complete Prospero’s online safeguarding course.
• Experience working with young people – voluntary or professional – is desirable but not essential.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of mathematics at A‑Level level.
• Understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection.
