About the role

We are looking for an inspiring Maths Teacher to join our specialist school in Chiswick, delivering high‑quality mathematics to pupils with Special Educational Needs.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Teach Functional Skills Maths qualifications.
• Deliver GCSE Foundation Maths to appropriate learners.
• Adapt lessons to a wide range of abilities and learning profiles.
• Monitor progress and develop personalised learning plans.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists and pastoral teams.
• Inspire confidence and practical life‑skills through mathematics.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching mathematics in mainstream secondary schools.
• Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs.
• Good knowledge of Functional Skills Maths.
• Experience teaching GCSE Foundation Maths (desirable).
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Flexible, positive, pupil‑centred approach.
