Maths Teacher (ECT) – Secondary School

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Maths Teacher (or Early‑Career Teacher) to join a welcoming secondary school in Milton Keynes. The successful candidate will deliver engaging mathematics lessons to GCSE and A‑Level students, helping them achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, curriculum‑aligned maths lessons for secondary pupils.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with a team of maths teachers and teaching assistants.
• Contribute to departmental meetings and school improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a safe and motivating classroom environment.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher status (QTS) or eligibility for ECT induction.
• Strong academic background in GCSE and A‑Level mathematics.
• Degree in a relevant subject from a reputable university.
• Enthusiastic, hard‑working and able to use initiative.
• Willingness to work as part of a large, supportive team.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the UK GCSE and A‑Level maths curriculum.
