Maths Teacher – Full‑time & Supply Positions in Croydon

About the role

Supply Staff Limited is seeking qualified Maths Teachers for full‑time, long‑term placements and day‑to‑day supply work across Croydon. You will deliver engaging mathematics lessons, inspire confidence and develop problem‑solving abilities in secondary‑age students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver effective Maths lessons aligned to the curriculum.
• Assess student progress, provide feedback and record outcomes.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment and manage behaviour.
• Collaborate with fellow Maths teachers and wider school staff.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learner needs.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) certification.
• PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Commitment to UK safeguarding regulations.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of secondary‑level mathematics.
• Effective classroom management techniques.
• Clear communication and lesson‑planning abilities.
