Learning Support Assistant – Full‑time Supply Role in Croydon

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join schools across Croydon on a full‑time, long‑term supply basis. In this role you will work side‑by‑side with teachers to help pupils access the curriculum, develop confidence and maintain positive behaviour.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group learning support to pupils.
• Assist students in accessing classroom activities and the wider curriculum.
• Support pupils with additional learning needs as required.
• Promote confidence, independence and positive behaviour.
• Collaborate closely with teachers and other school staff.

Required profile

• Experience working with children or young people (desirable).
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Patient, supportive and adaptable attitude.
• Passion for helping students succeed academically and socially.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Full compliance with UK school safeguarding regulations.
