Maths Teacher – Permanent PRU Position in Folkestone

About the role

We are seeking a resilient and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a well‑established Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Folkestone. This permanent role starts in September 2026 and offers the chance to make a real impact on students who need an alternative approach to education.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons to pupils with additional needs (KS3/KS4).
• Support learners facing SEMH and behavioural challenges.
• Build strong relationships to promote engagement and positive behaviour.
• Collaborate closely with support staff and senior leadership.
• Track progress and contribute to personalised learning plans.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Maths, preferably at KS3/KS4 level.
• Experience in a PRU, alternative provision, or with challenging behaviour (desirable).
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
