Maths Teacher – Secondary Academy (East London)

About the role
We are seeking a passionate Maths Teacher to join a well‑regarded mixed secondary academy in East London. The successful candidate will teach Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that build confidence and problem‑solving skills. Experience with Key Stage 5 is desirable but not essential.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality Maths lessons for Years 7‑11.
- Monitor and support student progress, aiming to raise attainment across all ability ranges.
- Differentiate instruction to meet individual learning needs.
- Collaborate with the wider Maths department on curriculum development and assessment.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (or equivalent).
- Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
- Proven experience teaching in a secondary school setting.
- Commitment to improving student achievement.

- Mathematics pedagogy and curriculum knowledge.
