Maths Teacher – Secondary Schools (Full‑time/Temporary)

About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic Maths Teachers to work across a range of secondary schools in Stockton-on-Tees. The role offers the chance to deliver engaging KS3 and KS4 mathematics lessons, support student progress, and gain experience in diverse school environments.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons for KS3 and KS4 (KS5 optional).
• Differentiate tasks to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities.
• Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere.
• Manage behaviour in line with school policies.
• Collaborate with department staff and senior leadership.
• Support pupils with additional needs where required.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) – or strong FE maths teaching experience.
• Experience teaching maths in a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for mathematics education.
• Proactive, adaptable attitude.
• Valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Two professional references covering the last two years.
