Maths Tutor – Monday Evening GCSE Classes

About the role

This part‑time position involves delivering Maths tuition on Monday evenings to secondary‑aged learners in Crowborough. You will work with small, motivated groups covering KS3 and GCSE content, helping students build confidence and improve their exam performance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for Lower KS3, Upper KS3/Early GCSE and Year 11 GCSE groups.
• Prepare and adapt teaching resources to suit the needs of each class.
• Provide one additional paid hour each week for lesson planning and administrative tasks.
• Maintain a consistent Monday evening timetable.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of the KS3 and GCSE Maths curriculum.
• Experience teaching or tutoring secondary‑school students.
• Ability to deliver well‑structured, inspiring lessons.
• Organised, reliable and passionate about student achievement.
• Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
