M&E Supervisor – Hard FM Services (3-month contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced M&E Supervisor to join the Property Services team of a local authority in Kent. This three‑month, on‑site role involves overseeing hard FM services across a varied estate of offices, community buildings and operational sites.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise delivery of hard FM services, including mechanical & electrical (M&E) and HVAC systems maintenance.
• Manage and monitor contractors and service providers against SLAs and KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and health & safety standards.
• Support planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes.
• Oversee reactive maintenance and guarantee timely issue resolution.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and quality checks across the estate.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners to facilitate service delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a hard FM / M&E supervisory role (or highly experienced tradesperson ready to step up).
• IOSH qualification.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC.
• Good understanding of statutory compliance such as health & safety, gas, electrical and water hygiene regulations.
