About the role
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a market‑leading specialist in Southampton, working on cutting‑edge building and construction projects for blue‑chip clients.
Key responsibilities
- Design modular building structures, including frames, piping and mechanical systems.
- Create, validate and document load studies for frameworks.
- Perform pull and load testing on fixings.
- Oversee projects from concept through to completion.
- Conduct technical site assessments at client locations.
Required profile
- Previous experience in design engineering.
- Proven load calculation experience.
- Good knowledge of material types and metal properties.
- Live within commuting distance of Southampton.

- Salary £40,000‑£50,000 per year.
