About the role
Rolls‑Royce is looking for Mechanical Design & Product Definition Engineers to join its Defence business in the UK. You will work on a variety of current and future aerospace and defence programmes, turning engineering requirements into robust, manufacturable and certifiable solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Design mechanical components and subsystems for aerospace applications.
- Develop product definitions and detailed CAD models.
- Integrate structures, installations and mechanical control units into larger systems.
- Support transmission systems, turbomachinery components and related assemblies.
- Provide technical assurance and contribute to design reviews.
Required profile
- Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in mechanical design, product development or engineering integration.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawing and product definition principles.
- Experience working in complex engineering environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
Required skills
- CAD (computer‑aided design) proficiency.
- Engineering drawing interpretation.
- Mechanical design techniques.
