Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – CNC & Industrial Machinery

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a long‑established manufacturing business in Preston. You will be responsible for both reactive and planned maintenance of CNC machinery and a variety of industrial production equipment, helping to minimise downtime and support efficient output.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on CNC and other industrial machinery.
• Diagnose faults, repair mechanical components and restore equipment to operational condition.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Support continuous‑improvement projects and maintenance initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience working on CNC machinery within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Background in mechanical maintenance of production equipment.
• Basic understanding of electrical maintenance on machinery.
