Mechanical Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to join a well‑established main contractor delivering two high‑profile schemes in Mayfair, London. The role involves managing mechanical packages across design, procurement, installation and handover for complex commercial and hospitality projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage mechanical packages from pre‑construction through to completion.
• Coordinate design information with consultants, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Oversee procurement, subcontractor management and technical submissions.
• Monitor programme progress, site performance and quality.
• Drive health & safety, compliance and quality across assigned packages.
• Manage testing, commissioning, snagging and handover activities.
• Identify and resolve technical and delivery issues on site.
• Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Project Manager or senior engineer ready to step up.
• Mechanical bias with solid understanding of wider MEP delivery.
• Experience delivering commercial fit‑outs, refurbishments, hotels or high‑spec building projects.
• Strong technical and coordination abilities.
• Good commercial awareness and programme management understanding.
• HNC, HND or degree in mechanical or building services discipline preferred.
• Proactive, organised and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
