Mechanical Site Fitters – Permanent Role at Stansted Airport

About the role

We are looking for experienced Multi‑Skilled Mechanical Site Fitters to join a busy, site‑based team at Stansted Airport. The role involves a variety of mechanical installation, construction and repair projects across the airport site, offering plenty of hours and premium overtime.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out installation, assembly and commissioning of site equipment and fittings.
• Fabricate, modify and adjust metalwork and components on‑site.
• Perform routine maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting.
• Read and work from drawings, specifications and work instructions.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Complete quality checks, documentation and report issues to supervisors.
• Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to site safety procedures.

Required profile

• Valid CSCS card.
• Ability to obtain security clearance.
• Previous site fitting or construction experience (desirable).
• Multi‑trade mechanical or fabrication skills (desirable).
• Comfortable working at height and in varied site conditions (desirable).
