Medical Negligence Solicitor (0–6 PQE) – Birmingham

About the role

We are seeking a Clinical Negligence Solicitor (0–6 years PQE) to join a nationally recognised claimant practice in Birmingham. The role offers the chance to work on high‑profile medical negligence claims, ranging from birth injuries to fatal cases, within a supportive, hybrid‑working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a personal caseload of claimant clinical negligence matters, from investigation through to settlement or trial.
• Guide clients through complex legal processes with empathy and professionalism.
• Collaborate with senior lawyers, medical experts, counsel and healthcare professionals to build robust cases.
• Prepare pleadings, handle disclosure, coordinate expert evidence and support trial preparation.
• Contribute to business development initiatives and national team collaboration.

Required profile

• 0–6 years PQE with experience in clinical negligence or strong transferable litigation experience.
• Preferably experience acting for claimants, though defendant or broader litigation backgrounds are welcomed.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex or high‑value litigation and understand court procedures.
• Excellent communication, commercial awareness and a commitment to client care.
