Medical Negligence Solicitor – Manchester (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Medical Negligence Solicitor to join our client’s Manchester office on a hybrid basis. The role is suitable for Grade B or Grade C qualified solicitors who will manage their own caseload of medical negligence claims from inception to resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Handle a full portfolio of medical negligence claims, coordinating with clients, medical experts and counsel.
• Ensure compliance with the Pre‑Action Protocol for Clinical Disputes and the Civil Procedure Rules.
• Analyse and interpret complex medical evidence to build strong cases.
• Utilise case‑management software, preferably Proclaim, to track progress.
• Collaborate on larger group actions and high‑profile matters alongside senior colleagues.

Required profile

• Proven experience handling medical negligence claims.
• Solid understanding of the Pre‑Action Protocol and CPR.
• Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with clients.
• Membership of AvMA, the Law Society clinical negligence panel or APIL is desirable.

Required skills

• Proclaim case‑management software.
