About the role
The School Medical Officer provides first‑aid and medical welfare support to pupils and staff at Salendine Nook High School. Working 32.5 hours per week during term time, the role begins in September 2026 and forms part of the school’s pastoral team.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver first‑aid care and manage routine medical needs for students and staff.
- Respond swiftly and safely to emergencies, exercising sound judgement.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure confidentiality.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents and external health services.
- Support the school’s health‑related policies and promote a safe environment.
Required profile
- Experience in a first‑aid or medical welfare role.
- Well‑organised, reliable, adaptable and conscientious.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Good level of physical fitness for occasional demanding tasks.
Required skills
- First Aid certification.
- ICT skills for record‑keeping and communication.
