About the role
Seasalt is seeking a Menswear Designer to join its design team in Cornwall. You will create refined, commercially successful collections that reflect the brand’s modern yet timeless aesthetic, working both from the head office and remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Develop seasonal menswear collections that embody a sophisticated, wearable aesthetic.
- Translate mood boards, cultural influences and trend research into clear design concepts, with a focus on jersey fabrics.
- Source and develop premium, sustainable fabrics, textures and finishes that align with the brand’s quality standards.
- Create precise technical drawings, design packs and specifications for development samples.
- Collaborate closely with the supply base to refine fit, proportion and detailing, ensuring a seamless hand‑over to technical teams.
- Lead fittings and development sampling, maintaining the highest standards of design, quality and craftsmanship.
- Partner with Design, Buying and Merchandising teams to balance creativity with commercial viability.
Required profile
- Strong understanding of effortless sophistication, high‑quality craftsmanship and functional design.
- Commercial awareness and a commitment to sustainable innovation.
- Ability to work flexibly in a hybrid model (minimum three days onsite in Cornwall).
- Experience in developing menswear collections, preferably with jersey fabrics.
Required skills
- Creation of technical drawings and detailed design packs.
- Knowledge of fabric properties, fit, drape, silhouette and proportion.
- Experience sourcing sustainable and premium materials.
- Collaboration with supply, technical and merchandising teams throughout the product development cycle.

- Competitive salary up to £42,000 depending on experience.
- Relocation allowance of 5% of the offered salary.
