Mental Health Support Worker – Residential Care, Hackney

About the role

Airmid is recruiting a Mental Health Support Worker to support a client in a residential setting in Hackney. The role suits someone who wants to provide compassionate, person-centred care and manage behaviour proactively, working within a small team. It is a part-time position with weekly pay.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support
• Proactively manage behaviour and use effective de-escalation techniques
• Communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing
• Build positive relationships and work collaboratively within a small team
• Maintain consistently high standards of care, dignity and professionalism

Required profile

• Right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available)
• At least 6 months of personal care experience in a hospital, nursing home or home care setting
• DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Basic Life Support and Moving & Handling training
• Two professional references

What we offer

• Pay of £15.00 per hour (PAYE)
• Saturdays and Sundays, 1pm to 6pm, with 3 weekends on and 3 weekends off
