Merchandiser – Lead Trading Rhythm & Team

About the role

We are looking for a Merchandiser to join a fast‑growing retail scale‑up with a £100M+ turnover. Reporting to the Head of Merchandising, you will drive the trading rhythm and build robust planning processes to support rapid expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a merchandising team, setting standards for performance.
• Own the trading calendar, including weekly trade reviews, re‑forecasting and pace adjustments.
• Manage stock intake and availability while protecting cash flow.
• Build and maintain planning foundations that match business speed.
• Partner with Buying, Supply Chain and Finance to ensure alignment across functions.
• Provide insight to senior leadership and influence strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a merchandiser with a solid grounding in core merchandising principles.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead people, not just numbers.
• Ability to balance reactive problem‑solving with building structured processes.
