Microsoft 365 Engineer – Hybrid (Glasgow or London)

About the role

We are seeking a Microsoft 365 Engineer to join the Digital Workplace function of a well‑established organisation. The role is hybrid, allowing you to work from either Glasgow or London, and focuses on the day‑to‑day administration, optimisation and support of the Microsoft 365 environment.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support core Microsoft 365 services, including Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Exchange Online.
• Manage the M365 environment via the Microsoft 365 Admin Centre.
• Provide BAU support, handling incidents, service requests and escalations.
• Monitor service health and act on Microsoft 365 updates and changes.
• Support governance, compliance and security controls across the platform.
• Drive adoption, optimisation and user enablement of collaboration tools.
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure and support teams to ensure reliable, secure services.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with the Microsoft 365 stack in an enterprise setting.
• Strong background supporting Microsoft Teams and related services.
• Experience working with ticketing systems and meeting SLA targets.
• Excellent troubleshooting abilities and clear stakeholder communication.
• Good understanding of M365 governance and best‑practice frameworks.
• Desirable: experience with Microsoft Purview, exposure to Microsoft Copilot, and broader security/compliance tooling knowledge.
