Mid-level Golang Engineer

About the role

This role sits in the Payment Performance team, where we improve payment success rates by combining real‑time routing algorithms, machine learning and low‑latency infrastructure. You will help build highly available services that process millions of transactions per second.

Key responsibilities

• Drive and support software and infrastructure engineers developing proprietary routing algorithms.
• Uphold strict uptime and latency targets while ensuring accurate API responses.
• Collaborate with data scientists to integrate machine‑learning improvements into the platform.
• Participate in hiring and mentoring engineers to grow the team.
• Handle incident response, post‑mortem investigations and on‑call rotations.
• Make long‑term architectural decisions that balance quality, scalability and simplicity.

Required profile

• Expert‑level experience with Golang.
• Proven ability to design, build and operate large‑scale, high‑throughput, highly available systems.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS and best‑practice cloud architectures.
• Strong understanding of software design, microservice architecture and API protocols.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environment.
