Mid-Level QA Automation Engineer (Hybrid, Liverpool)

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established insurance business that is investing heavily in technology. As a Mid‑Level QA Automation Engineer you will join a collaborative engineering team in Liverpool, helping to deliver reliable, high‑quality software for customer‑facing applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated test frameworks.
• Identify and implement improvements to testing processes.
• Embed automation throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Contribute to sprint planning, test strategy, defect management and continuous integration.
• Reduce manual testing effort while ensuring new features are delivered with confidence.

Required profile

• Commercial experience building and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with developers and product owners.
• Proactive mindset with a passion for quality and continuous improvement.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.

• Playwright
• API automation testing
• Azure DevOps (including CI/CD pipelines)
• Modern testing methodologies
