Mixed Tax Manager – Personal & Corporate Tax

About the role

We are partnering with a top‑80 accountancy firm in South West London to recruit a Mixed Tax Manager responsible for delivering personal and corporate tax services to private client and corporate portfolios. You will lead a small team of junior tax staff while managing your own client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare corporate tax returns (CT600) for SME and OMB private businesses.
• Prepare personal tax returns/self‑assessments for HNWI, business owners, entrepreneurs and families.
• Ensure tax compliance within HMRC deadlines and obtain accurate client information.
• Assist the Tax Director/Partner with tax‑efficient strategies and planning across corporate and personal tax.
• Provide first‑point support for UK tax queries and issues.
• Handle basic corporate tax planning, cross‑border structuring and deal tax activities.
• Liaise on individual tax projects such as dividend planning, EIS, CGT, non‑domicile, VCT and IHT.
• Oversee junior/graduate tax staff and ensure quality work within agreed costs and timescales.
• Contribute to business development and market tax advisory services.

Required profile

• Experience as a Tax Manager in a regional or Top‑100 accountancy practice.
• Preferably ATT qualified and/or CTA qualified.
• Strong knowledge of UK corporate and personal tax issues.
• Proven ability to manage a client portfolio and a junior team.
• Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills under pressure.
