Mobile Service Technician - Medical Device Maintenance

About the role
We are seeking a technically skilled, customer‑focused Mobile Service Technician to install, maintain, calibrate and repair specialist bio‑decontamination and infection‑control equipment used in healthcare, pharmaceutical, laboratory and clean‑room environments across South Wales and the South West of England.
Key responsibilities
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and servicing on electro‑mechanical decontamination systems.
- Diagnose and repair faults in pumps, motors, fans, valves, relays, sensors, ultrasonic atomisation units, power supplies and control electronics.
- Carry out electrical fault‑finding using multimeters and diagnostic tools.
- Inspect, calibrate and test humidity, airflow and process sensors; conduct leak testing and tubing inspections.
- Support equipment installation, commissioning, validation and emergency breakdown response.
- Deliver operator training and refresher sessions on equipment use and safety.
- Maintain accurate service reports, calibration records and maintenance logs.
- Provide technical feedback on recurring faults and product performance trends.
Required profile
- Electro‑mechanical engineering or field service background.
- Experience working with medical or process‑controlled equipment in regulated environments.
- Ability to travel across South Wales and the South West of England.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently on site.
- Full training will be provided prior to starting the role.
Required skills
- Ultrasonic vaporisation technology.
- Hydrogen peroxide delivery systems.
- Airflow and catalytic deactivation systems.
- Embedded control electronics and HMI/touchscreen interfaces.
- Process sensors, safety interlocks and alarm systems.
- Electrical fault‑finding with multimeters and diagnostic equipment.
- Calibration of humidity, airflow and process sensors.
- Leak testing and tubing inspection.
What we offer
- Salary £35,000‑£40,000 per annum plus bonus.
- Company van for work travel.
- Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am‑5:00 pm working hours.
