Mobile Software Engineer – Kotlin Multiplatform

About the role

Join Cauli, the UK’s largest reusable packaging provider, as the lead mobile engineer. You will drive the migration of native iOS and Android apps to a unified Kotlin Multiplatform codebase while delivering real‑world consumer and client‑facing features.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain mobile applications in Kotlin, including a point‑of‑sale client app and consumer‑facing tools.
• Architect and execute the transition to a unified Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) codebase.
• Integrate lightweight web apps with Apple Wallet and Google Wallet for container tracking.
• Contribute to PHP/Laravel backend services and occasionally support Python code for smart‑bin hardware.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of professional mobile engineering experience with production‑level Kotlin.
• Strong native Android development expertise.
• Interest or experience in Kotlin Multiplatform, comfortable targeting both Android and iOS.
• Startup mindset willing to touch backend code and hardware integrations while maintaining clean, production‑quality code.
