MOD General Practitioner – NHS Positions Across England & Wales

About the role

The Ministry of Defence is recruiting qualified General Practitioners to deliver primary care services within NHS facilities across England and Wales. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment while contributing to the health of service personnel and their families.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary medical care to patients, including consultations, examinations, and follow‑up.
• Diagnose, treat and manage acute and chronic conditions in line with NHS clinical guidelines.
• Maintain accurate patient records using NHS information systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, allied health professionals, and administrative staff.
• Adhere to Ministry of Defence policies, health and safety standards, and confidentiality requirements.

Required profile

• Fully registered medical doctor with a current GMC licence to practise.
• Experience in primary care or general practice within the NHS.
• Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom and to undergo security and criminal record checks.
